Description
Tuong Ban or Tuong Lang Ban is the name of a type of soy sauce produced in Ban Yen Nhan Town, My Hao, Hung Yen, Vietnam. This is considered one of the delicious soy sauces of Vietnam, typical of the cuisine of the Northern Delta region.
Dishes with Tuong Ban
– Soy sauce to eat with rice rolls, vermicelli, and blanched rice paper: Add cooking oil, saute onions, add sugar, chili, boiling water, soy sauce, remove from heat, add pepper, lemon, and eat with herbs.
– Pickled cucumber soup: Pickled cucumber, onion, cooking oil, tomato, soy sauce. Heat oil until onion is fragrant, add tomato and stir well until soft, add pickled cucumber and stir for a while, add soy sauce to taste, remove from heat to make stir-fry or add water and boil until soft to make sour soup.
– Water spinach soup with ginger sauce: Stir-fry water spinach with a little salt and cooking oil, add enough water, before removing from heat, add soy sauce and chopped crushed ginger. This dish is suitable for winter.
– Soy sauce peanuts: Roast peanuts and soak in soy sauce for 15 minutes, or leave overnight, this dish can be kept for a month. – Sauteed lotus root with soy sauce: Thinly slice lotus root, wash off the mud, saute with fragrant onion oil, add vegetarian spices and soy sauce and remember to add a little ginger. This dish is very good for people with weak lungs and need nourishment.
– Braised radish, kohlrabi, and carrots in soy sauce: you can fry the radish or not, then add soy sauce. Do the same with kohlrabi and carrots.
– Stir-fried mushrooms with soy sauce: Saute onions with aromatic oil, add mushrooms, ginger, soy sauce, and herbs as desired. This dish is quite yin, suitable for people with yang organs or those who eat too much meat or those with a hot temper.
– Bitter melon braised in soy sauce: Fry bitter melon then add soy sauce to taste, continue cooking until soft.
– Steamed tofu with ginger sauce: Buy tofu, squeeze out all the sour water, then mash it with onion, mix with sauce, julienned ginger, cooking oil or sesame butter, and steam until cooked.
