Description
Oishiya pink ginger is a Japanese pickle made from ginger, often used to eat with sushi. The Japanese choose fresh ginger, slice it into very thin slices and soak it in sugar and vinegar. Gari has a spicy, sour and sweet taste, light pink in color. Together with wasabi (mustard), gari helps reduce the fishy taste, adds flavor to the dish and counteracts the cold nature of seafood in sushi and sashimi.
